received bad news in the mail. usually it’s a bill, but this time it was from one of my bi-monthly magazine subscriptions: No Depression.
it used to be a great way to find out which Americana/country artists had new CDs coming out, who was coming to town & best of all, gave an insider’s look at my fav country icons. i still have all my back issues including the very first one with Sun Volt on the cover (along with boxes of Rolling Stone, Spin, Paste and countless others – no fun when i have to move)
the end of No Depression? this really SUCKS!
they did say however, that they are teaming up with University of Texas Press to make a semiannual “bookazine” that they will debut in the fall. ah well, like Freddie Mercury would say, “another one bites the dust”
